Van oud en jonk
Ernstig en stout
Daar is ‘n ronde en ‘n lange
‘n vette met hang wange
Daar’s ‘n vette en maere
Skoongeskeer of vol hare
‘n Oop gesig of toe
‘n domme of hoe
Simpatiek of uitdrukkingloos
Gelukkig of dalk boos
Daardie een is nors
Dis nou maar wors
‘n lelike en ‘n mooie
‘n lewendige of ‘n dooie.
