Se gesig word wit
Maar sy het nie ineengestort
Toe die doodstraf oor haar uitgespreek word
Sy het haar man laat vermoor
Het die hof gehoor
Sy het twee swartmans gehuur
En agter haar man aangestuur
In sy tuin is hy vermoor
Met messe is sy hart deurboor
‘n lewelose liggaam
tref die Polisie in ‘n plas bloed aan
Sy sou hulle baie betaal
Maar hul wandaad het hul ingehaal
En nou……..
Is dit te laat vir berou
Sy wou haar vryheid hê
Maar nou word die hoogste straf haar opgelê
Twee swartes het sy gewerf
En nou gaan hulle ook sterf
( Na aanlyding van die doodstraf wat op 24 November 1982 op Maureen Smith en twee swartes opgelê is vir die moord op haar man, Rodger Charles Smith op 20 Julie 1982)
