Ons was nogal verras
Met so ‘n uitslag
Gerrie se oog word oopgeslaan
As hy met sy hande in sy sye staan
Gerrie se oog lyk glad nie mooi
En Thomas sien rooi
Sy vuiste boer in Coetzee se gesig
Hy sien nou die lig
Maar ‘n pragtige regter van Coetzee
Laat Thomas amper moed opgee
Hulle moker mekaar genadeloos
En Gerrie word getroos
Met ‘n gelykop uitslag
Ons het ‘n wenner verwag.
