Daar loop ons voete nie kaal
Maar met ‘n skoen of sandaal
Die Transvaal is die beste plek on te woon
Met al sy natuurskoon
Laat ek ons stede aan jou toon
En jy sal dadelik hier wil woon
In ons grootste stad, Johannesburg
Woon mense met pype vol murg
Want daar word jy sommer gewurg
Dit is nou Johannesburg
Vat nou maar Pretoria
Met die Jakarandas in al hul gloria
Daar betaal jy miskien meer as in Koria
Want dit is ons hoofstad, Pretoria
