ver in die duistere heelal in
strale wat van ver af kom
van hulle weet ons maar min
Bedags kruip die sterre weg
Snage steek hulle hul koppe uit
Skaam is hulle tog nie
Saam vorm hulle die melkweg
So naby en tog so ver
Die blinkste skitterende ster
Hulle lyk soos brandende liggies
Soos stralende gesiggies.
