Oor die koppies vloei ‘n waas
Wolke oorspan die ruim
Die laaste diens word nie versuim
Tog is daar al manne voort
Dit is nie hoe dit hoort
Tot die laaste moet ons bly
Die laaste druppel in te kry
Miskien is daar nog iets te hoor
Miskien word nog ‘n hart deurboor
