Vroeg staan hulle voor die deur
En probeer na vorentoe te beur
Maar die deur is nog gesluit
Maar hul laat hul nie stuit
Elkeen gewapen met ‘n rand
En hoop wat in hulle brand
‘n hoop om dit twee te maak
Dat geluk hul nie versaak
Elkeen met hulle eie plan
Om geluk by te dam
En dit syne te maak
Wanneer hy aan die masjiene raak
Weer en weer voer hy hom
En hoop dat daar iets uit sal kom
Dat hy nie sy geld sal verspil
en hy in ekstase kan gil
