En ‘n seemeeu wat skree
Ons almal is mal oor die melodie
Van ver herken ons die wysie
‘n Lied wat ons nooit verveel
Wat al die spanning wegstreel
Saam kan ons nie sing
Want die woorde wat ons bring
Vertel nie die volle verhaal
En ons kan dit nie vertaal
Tog kan ons ure sit en luister
Al is dit soms net ‘n fluister
En wanneer ons ookal loop
Gaan die musiek steeds voort
