Vandag voel ek weer depresief
Want niemand het my lief
Alles wat skeef kon loop, het
Dis nou glad nie meer pret
Ek staan op die afgrond se rand
Met een voet oor die kant
Sy gapende dieptes lok my aan
Is dit die einde van my lewensbaan?
Geen uitkoms is daar meer
Net verdriet en hartseer
Nou het my pad opgeraak
Niks maak nou meer saak
Net ‘n klein treetjie oor die afgrond
In die gapende diepte se mond
om vir ewig rus en vrede te hê
waar ek aan die voete van my Here lê
