Daar ver glinster daar 'n ster
Tussen miljoene daar ver
Tog merk ek haar daar
As ek na die hemel staar
Al versteek die wolke haar
Weet ek tog sy is daar
Weggesteek is sy vir my oog
Ver bo-kant my en baie hoog
Ek sien uit om haar weer te sien
Weet jy watter een is sy miskien?
Is sy hier of miskien daar?
Sê my as jy haar gewaar
Vandag hier en more op 'n ander plek
En al is daar 'n ander een in haar plek
Weet ek sy skyn steeds vir my
Waar sy oor die hemelruim gly.
