die dominee lees: ”Wees vrolik as iemand doodgaan”
Maak soos dit Christene betaam
Voor in die kerk staan die kis
Ons almal gaan oom Hendrik mis
Almal sing uit volle bors
Na die diens was almal dors
Die begrafnis word eers gestaak
Almal het eers ‘n dop gaan maak
Op pad na die begrafplaas
Skink ons nog een… vir oulaas
Die plegtigheid by die graf
Was toe omtrent ‘n straf
Net ‘n paar mense hier
Die ander, besig om fees te vier.
