In die ope lug
Soos ‘n eensame swaeltjie
Alleen in sy vlug
So stoksiel alleen
Gaan ek hierdie wêreld in
Om my lewe weereens
Van vooraf te begin
Man alleen
Tussen duisende mense
Soek ek dringend
Na die meisie van my wense
Op die een of ander manier
Ontwyk ons mekaar
Of is die skip van my lewe
Gedoem om alleen te vaar.
